The McKean County Amateur Radio Club, Inc., established in 1938, is one of the oldest ARRL clubs in the nation.
The purpose of the Club is as follows: the promotion of amateur radio communication and experimentation; the advancement of the radio art; the development of communications to serve in time of emergency, disaster or national defense; the fostering of education in the field of electronic communication; the exchange of information and cooperation between members; the promotion of radio knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency; the conduct of Club programs and activities to advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio in the community.

Club meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month at the McKean County Dept. of Emergency Services 17083 US-6, Smethport, PA 16749 at 7 PM (use the door on the left side of the building). Meetings are open to anyone who is interested in amateur radio.
